Boycott of all Israeli Goods:

Vote Set for Sept. 1, 2007

The day after a total boycott of Israel was announced by the largest British union

...a major Ann Arbor food cooperative has voted to hold a Referendum to boycott all Israeli goods.

* On September 1, 2007, a boycott of all Israeli goods will be voted on by the Ann Arbor, Michigan "People's Food Co-op" membership.

The Co-op has approximately 6,000 members.

This Boycott Referendum was scheduled by vote of the People's Food Co-op Board of Directors, at their regular June 21st Board meeting.

The Referendum voting, by the full Co-op membership, has been scheduled to occur in the People's Food Co-op store, from September 1-30, 2007:




Almost 1,000 Ann Arbor community members had petitioned the People's Food Co-op to boycott all Israeli products. Those boycott petitioners included 438 certified members of the People's Food Co-op.
